I have decided to stop accepting regular commissions., because my heart is with drawing wild animals. And, for the sake of my dream and goal (investing in wildlife and preservation of nature), from now on I will only take wildlife-related commissions. This means that I can make a realistic drawing of every animal species in a desired size, especially for you! For that I need at least one well-exposed and high-resolution photo. Please note that the author of this photo needs to have granted you explicit permission for this photo to be drawn for you. A photo that you have taken yourself, for example on safari, is perfect as well!
Please contact me for the possibilities.
What’s a good reference photo?
Although it is not always possible, I prefer to use a digital photo with high resolution (sharp). It is important that the subject is well exposed (enough light) and that the subject has the same colours as in reality. A professional portrait photo is often useful, or else a photo that was taken outside during daylight. A poorly exposed photo is usually not suitable: For example, a photo in which the sun casts complex shadows on the subject, or a photo in which some parts are not exposed at all. If you cannot decide on a photo, you can email me your photos so that we can discuss them. It is also possible to combine multiple photos.
The most important thing is that I have permission to use the photo of its author, whithout us getting into trouble due to copyright. For this you need to ask explicit permission from the photographer (written permission is best). Photos made by someone else, such as a professional photographer, may have copyright. A fine for copyright infringement can turn out to be huge. Some photo's on the internet can be used without having to acknowledge the author, these photo's are licenced under 'CC0'. To bypass anyting copyright-related, you can make the pictures yourself.
Which materials do I use?
I use pastel crayons and pastel pencils on acid-free paper. Pastel chalk is quite resistant to light and acid-free paper will not yellow over time. The final piece must be protected and framed behind glass to prevent the drawing from smudging.
Please note: I am fully booked and there is a waiting list for new commissions. As mentioned above, I only accept commissions with a 'wildlife' theme . The prices for this can be found in the tables on this page.
Please contact me well in advance if you want to receive your drawing before a certain date. Orders without emergency will be placed on a waiting list which I will inform you about.
You can contact me via e-mail, whatsapp, facebook and instagram. Pay attention to typing errors in the e-mail address, it often happens that an e-mail does not arrive due to incorrect spelling.

You can find the costs for a commissioned drawing in the tables. One subject equals 1 animal. If you want more than 3 subjects in one single drawing there are no additional costs: The price of 3 subjects applies here. An additional background is free, but I can also leave it blank or make it a certain colour. Free shipping around the globe, or come pick it up! Please note: If you require a deadline for your commission, there might be an additional fee of 20-50% on top of the total price, depending on the agreed time. Once we have agreed on your order, I will schedule the commission in my agenda. A deposit of 20% of the total costs is required to make your order definitive. This deposit is non-refundable. When the drawing is finished and you are happy with it, you can pay the rest. You can make the payment by bank transfer, IDEAL, PayPal or in cash.
10% of the total price will go to a nature protection fund of my choosing!
High quality print I can provide you a high quality copy (for example giclée) of your drawing. Prints make a great gift, or if you’re giving away the original you might want to keep a copy for yourself. Please contact me for the possibilities and price.
Gift wrapping I can package your drawing nicely for you to give away.
Shipping Do you live far away? I can ship your order for free around the globe. You’ll receive a tracking code so you’ll know when to expect your order. The drawing will be packaged carefully to prevent any damage. Framing As this is a matter of personal taste and the costs for framing vary greatly depending on the format and your wishes, I advise you to have the drawing framed by a professional. In Heemstede and Haarlem (The Netherlands) you can go to KB Lijstenmakerij or Prins Kunstcentrum.
